Crystal
Crystal’s history began in 1984 when its founder and CEO, Jerry Rosenblatt was introduced to a water purification mineral while he was traveling through France. That mineral product also happened to work as a powerful and all natural deodorant. The product began as the “rock” that was shaped, smoothed, molded and packaged by hand and took off as it found its way into high-end department stores.
Although the Rock had gained popularity, Rosenblatt believed that if he could offer the rock in different varieties that it would appeal to a larger demographic. The product was renamed Crystal Body Deodorant and the stick, spray and roll-on deodorant were quickly put into stores. Next came foot deodorant, the travel stick and in 2009, a line of lightly scented all natural deodorants known as Crystal essence was launched. Most recently, in 2011, an innovative 100 percent biodegradable product called Crystal Towelettes hit the shelves, and Crystal products continue to be trusted and used world wide.
