Dr Christopher's Glandular System Ointment

Dr. Christopher’s Glandular System Ointment is a unique herbal remedy known for its astringent, emollient, and expectorant properties. It is usually prescribed for catarrh of the respiratory tract, bronchitis, cough, and shortness of breath. Some herbalists have reported it is effective as a part of complex therapy for pulmonary tuberculosis.

The main ingredients of this formula are mullein leaves and lobelia herb. These ingredients have long been used in folk medicine for lung and respiratory diseases accompanied by abundant formation of mucus. The herbs are well known for their coating and expectorant properties as well as their effectiveness in diseases of the throat, bronchitis, asthma, emphysema, colds, heart disease, disorders of the nervous system, hemorrhoids, dysentery or spastic diarrhea (as a coating and pain killing agent), gastritis (soothes the pain), kidney, liver, spleen, jaundice, emaciation, poor weight gain, epilepsy, headache, premenstrual syndrome in women, as well as sexually transmitted diseases. Dr. Christopher’s ointment can be also applied (external use only!) on wounds, putrid wounds, ulcers, skin diseases, etc.

Being a good analgesic and spasmolytic remedy, the formula is also found effective for hypertension, inflammation of the respiratory organs, burns, panaritium, and hemorrhoids. It helps to alleviate catarrhal phenomena in the mucous membranes of the mouth, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, and intestines, as well as protect the mucosa from irritating factors, reducing pain, cramps, and swelling of tissues.

The historical uses of Glandular System Ointment include pneumonia, bronchitis, bronchial asthma, whooping cough, hoarseness, pulmonary tuberculosis and other diseases involving the formation of hard detachable sputum, as well as burns, panaritium, hemorrhoids, sore throat, inflammation of the pharynx and larynx, septic wounds, and ulcers. It is also found effective for radiculitis, rheumatism, and joint diseases.
