Folic Acid is a B vitamin. It is crucial for the health of the heart and for normal fetus development. Healthful diets with adequate Folic Acid may reduce the risk of having a child with birth defects. Folic Acid enhances healthy blood and DNA formation, and increases stamina, endurance and tolerance to stress. Folic Acid is water-soluble, which means it cannot be stored in the body.
Water-soluble vitamins dissolve in water. Leftover amounts of the vitamin leave the body through the urine. That means you need a continuous supply of the vitamin in your diet.
Folic Acid works along with vitamin B12 and vitamin C to help the body break down, use, and create —new proteins. The vitamin helps form red blood cells and helps produce DNA, the building block of the human body, which carries genetic information.
Food Sources include beans and legumes, citrus fruits and juices, wheat bran and other whole grains, dark green leafy vegetables, poultry, pork, shellfish and liver.
NOTE: Folic acid deficiency may cause poor growth, gray hair, mouth ulcers, peptic ulcer and diarrhea.

Suggested Use :
Adults and children 12 or more years of age, 1 capsule daily or as directed by health professional. Daily folic acid intake should not exceed 1 mg.
