Dr Mercola Organic Body Butter Sweet Orange

With Organic Shea Butter, Coconut and Jojoba Oils

Achieving Beautiful Skin that's More than Skin Deep

Organic Body Butter is a rich, buttery moisturizing cream. Pamper yourself -- pamper your skin. You will look great -- and feel great. And have the peace of mind that comes from knowing you're softening your skin with luscious antioxidants and other healthful nutrients.

Our improved Organic Body Butter contains ONLY NATURAL preservatives along with its seven extraordinary health-promoting and beauty-enhancing ingredients. This includes one of nature's most nutrition-packed and biologically alive liquids -- aloe vera juice.

Refrigerating Your Organic Body Butter is No Longer Necessary! So you can store it near your tub or shower, conveniently close to where you need it. I do recommend that you use a tongue depressor or wooden popsicle stick to remove your Organic Body Butter from the jar (instead of your fingers) to keep your product more pure.

Your skin will love the nourishing and soothing benefits of this butter.

Discover Seven Awesome Ingredients for Ageless Skin -- Who Wouldn't Want to Embrace These?

You really can have it both ways, with Organic Body Butter's seven extraordinary ingredients:

  1. Organic Shea Butter

Shea butter is an all-natural vitamin A cream from West Central Africa, where skin care depends on nature. It grows in the wild without the use of pesticides.

For centuries, shea butter has been highly regarded as a superior skin moisturizer, creating moistness similar to what your skin's sebaceous glands produce. Its deep penetration gives your skin elasticity while revitalizing and softening it. What an excellent treatment for irritated, dry, chapped, or sun-damaged skin!

Unrefined and organic shea butter contains an abundance of health-promoting ingredients, including vitamins, minerals, proteins and a unique fatty acid profile. Well-known vitamins include A, E, and F.

Evidence also suggests that shea butter contains cinnamic-acid esters, which means it may provide some UVB protection along with its skin-smoothing benefits.

Unlike petroleum-based moisturizers, shea butter actually restores your skin's own natural elasticity. It enables your skin to absorb moisture from the air to become softer and stay moisturized for longer.

Shea butter contains 7-12% unsaponifiables (a type of fat). By way of comparison, avocado oil, a well-known skin conditioner, contains only 2-6%. This high level of unsaponifiables is one property that makes shea butter so valuable as a skin conditioner.

But shea butter isn't the only special life-giving ingredient in Organic Body Butter. For example, are you interested in improving your skin's appearance, and at the same time your ability to relieve stress and boost your immune system? If so, want this...

  2. Organic Cocoa Butter

Cocoa butter is a natural moisturizer derived from the cocoa bean. Yes, it's the same one that brings us chocolate!

In many ways, cocoa butter is the ultimate moisturizer -- helping to increase hydration, decrease skin roughness and scaling, and support UV damage control from overexposure to the sun. German scientists believe its benefits stem from cocoa flavanols, compounds prevalent in cocoa that have been shown to improve blood flow and vessel function.

What's more, cocoa butter is somewhat unique because it's semi-occlusive. That means it forms a micro-thin barrier that seals in moisture while still allowing your skin to easily breathe.

What's more, it melts at body temperature so it is easily absorbed into your skin.

Significantly, cocoa butter is believed to promote feelings of relaxation and well-being and is frequently used in aromatherapy massages. Recent research suggests that massaging your skin with cocoa butter can help relieve stress and boost your immune system.

With all these benefits from shea and cocoa butter, you may think that we couldn't possibly improve them.

But I wanted you to be able to have the synergistic benefit of seven of the best and most potent natural ingredients available. So shea and cocoa butter weren't the only things offered in our Body Butter skin care product.

You've heard me talk about the importance of coconut oil a number of times.

So coconut oil had to be one of the key ingredients of our Organic Body Butter product. Just in case you're new to my site, allow me to recap the great value of coconut oil -- because it really is something that can enhance your life and health.

  3. Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

Virgin coconut oil is an ideal way to rejuvenate your skin.

Organic Virgin Coconut Oil in Body Butter
Virgin coconut oil helps you fight the signs of aging.

It protects against formation of damaging free radicals, and is also used to protect skin from blemishes, signs of aging or overexposure to sunlight. Coconut oil also keeps your skin's connective tissues strong and supple.

Coconut oil offers a youthful appearance to your skin by removing the outer layer of dead skin cells, making your skin smoother.

It can even penetrate into the deeper layers of your skin and strengthen the underlying tissues. Plus, it can be a factor in healing and repairing age-damaged skin -- unlike most lotions.

Naturally, you want to choose a high-quality organic coconut oil free of chemicals, and without bleach or hydrogenation (which can irritate your skin), to experience its maximum benefits.

As great as coconut oil, cocoa butter and shea butter are, I didn't stop with them, to offer you the best skin care product possible. Jojoba oil has some spectacular benefits, so I had to be sure you could benefit from it, too.

  4. Organic Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is one of nature's most useful products.

Jojoba oil technically isn't oil, but is a pure and luxurious liquid wax ester from cold-pressed seeds of the Simmondsia chinensis and S. californica desert shrubs native to the Sonora Desert in the southwestern U.S. Native Americans applied ground seeds of jojoba to scratches to speed healing and minimize scarring.

Jojoba oil is a long-chain wax ester, not a triglyceride -- making it very similar to the sebum your skin produces (via the sebaceous oil gland).

Sebum's job is to retain moisture and keep skin smooth and elastic.

    diagram of layers of skin

Unfortunately, from about the age of twenty, your skin's production of sebum decreases significantly. Remarkably, jojoba's naturally silky, odorless, non-allergic liquid mixes completely and rapidly with your natural sebum and follows its pathways deep into your skin.

The liquid wax esters in jojoba assist the sebum by maintaining skin moisture and elasticity. Jojoba oil forms a thin non-greasy lipid layer that holds water in your skin -- contrary to common 'oil in water' formulations, which evaporate once they're on your skin's surface.

Organic Jojoba Oil in Body Butter
Claimed by many as 'nature's wrinkle fighter' -- and as 'the cosmetic oil of the century'.

Meanwhile, it penetrates and stabilizes your intercellular skin structure, leaving your skin soft and supple. On oily skin, it penetrates deep and fast to merge with skin sebum, tricking your skin to regulate the production of sebum.

Since it penetrates so deeply, it helps protect, while allowing your skin's natural maintenance and healing system to do its job -- without having to battle dryness.

Further, jojoba contains nutrients that get absorbed into the body, such as vitamin E, B-complex, and the minerals silicon, chromium, copper, and zinc. It also contains a lot of iodine. Its antioxidant properties prevent rancidity and give it a very long shelf life.

For these reasons, jojoba oil is becoming recognized as the 'cosmetic oil of the century', and 'nature's wrinkle fighter'.

But wait! There's even more. Read on for more great health benefits found in Organic Body Butter, this new combination of wholesome ingredients for amazing skin care.
  5. Organic Murumuru Butter

Among the 2,650 species of palm is a prickly fellow that produces a rich butter. In fact, this plant has sharp black spines that require special care during harvest. Notably, it's prickled everywhere -- even its seeds and flowers.

Murumuru is the Portuguese name for Astrocaryum murumuru. It grows in the Amazon Basins, especially in northern Brazil.

As a member of the palm family, Murumuru has large, abundant seeds. The locals have cherished Murumuru nuts for their numerous health and wellness benefits for ages, evidenced by the folklore of the region.

Murumuru's large fruits are edible. Plus the seed kernel is a source of oil that's both edible and used for skin care.

So, why bother harvesting this prickly plant when there are so many easier sources of natural oils for skin care use?

First, Murumuru's lipids intensely hydrate and moisturize your skin by supporting the integrity of the cutaneous barrier. It helps your skin retain water by creating a protective film. And it supports repair of your skin's lipid barrier.

Secondly, it nurtures your skin with vitamins and minerals. Its botanicals are rich in health-enhancing oleic acid, which aid moisture retention.

What's more, our Murumuru source is wildcrafted, meaning that no pesticides and other sprays are used on it. In other words, it's an organic emollient source.

As an added benefit, using products containing Amazonian Murumuru helps remote communities gain income opportunities and build economic independence. Botanical ingredients purchased through fair-trade programs support the locals and their rich cultural heritage.

It also slows down the economic drive for cutting down trees, allowing the eco-system to function naturally as it has for many years.

Moving from the Amazon to the rice paddies...

  6. Organic Palm Oil

Palm oil is considered by some to be nature's gift to the world.

Consumed for more than 5,000 years, its nutritional value, health benefits and value as a natural resource continue to be discovered even today.

    Organic Palm Oil
Join the thousands who regard natural palm oil to be nature's gift to the world.

Palm oil is nutrient-dense and contains many potent antioxidants, including beta-carotene, a precursor of vitamin A, and tocotrienols, an extremely potent form of vitamin E.

Vitamin E is the major lipid soluble antioxidant in your skin. The potent antioxidant tocotrienols have even more beneficial actions on your skin -- your first line of defense against free radicals generated by your environment.

Minimally processed palm oil, like that used in Organic Body Butter, contains other phyto-nutrients, including phytosterols, squalene, CoQ10, and mixed carotenoids, offering a host of natural and wholesome phyto-nutrients. Palm oil boasts the most significant amounts of tocotrienols available.

Not only that -- but palm oil is an environmentally friendly choice. It's a renewable resource that's biodegradable, unlike petroleum-based products often found in skin care products. Plus, it has low eco-toxicity and human toxicity, and emits no net carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Like Murumuru, it helps rejuvenate rural communities and gives them an economic stimulus.

  7. Organic Aloe Vera Juice
    Organic Aloe Vera Juice
Aloe vera -- treasured for centuries for its 75 nutrients.

Did you know that aloe vera juice is one of the most nutrition-packed and biologically-alive liquids on the entire planet? Hardly any natural plant can beat its many benefits to your body.

Aloe contains more than 130 biologically active compounds and 34 amino acids that act synergistically and create an awesome force for your health. Further, its average pH is a "balancing" 4.55.

It is truly a wondrous 'gold mine' of phyto-nutrients

Aloe vera is a desert plant that's been treasured for centuries for its ability to enhance health. Records show that Cleopatra used it to protect her skin from the sun and stay young-looking, too.

Now you can do the same, and receive all these benefits:

    • Soothing. Aloe vera enhances fibroblast function. Fibroblasts are remarkable little cells responsible for collagen formation. They also assist in the soothing of minor burns, cuts, scrapes and skin irritations.
    • Immune support and function. Aloe vera provides natural support for your immune system. Since your skin is the first exterior line of defense and your immune system works around the clock protecting you, aloe vera's natural immune enhancers give you an arsenal from which to draw.
    • Helps produce collagen and elastin. Your skin replenishes itself every 21 to 28 days. Aloe vera adds a rich supply of building materials to produce and maintain healthy skin to support a youthful appearance! A daily dose of aloe vera could be just what your skin is thirsting for.
    • Minerals. Minerals found in aloe vera include calcium, sodium, iron, potassium, chromium, magnesium, manganese, copper, and zinc. What a powerful storehouse! Since your skin absorbs anything you apply to it, using products with naturally occurring vitamins and minerals can contribute to your overall health.
    • Vitamins. Aloe vera includes vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C and E, folic acid and niacin. Your body simply cannot store some of these vitamins. Using aloe vera contributes to building your defense system against oxidative stress!
    • Amino acid body-building blocks. Amino acids are your body's own building blocks. Eight are essential and cannot be produced by your body, but seven of those eight are found in the aloe plant. Aloe vera comes closer than any other known plant to the duplication of essential amino acids.

Organic Body Butter no longer contains denatured alcohol. Despite that, it still has a long shelf life of 24-36 months. Better yet - no refrigeration is required, so you can keep it close to where you'll use it.
