Earthrise Nuritionals

Experts and pioneers in the manufacturing of Spirulina based products, Earthrise Nutritionals has been dedicated to health supplement advancements for about 25 years. Spirulina is a blue-green algae that is found in highly alkaline lakes that have a high pH. These conditions prevent over algae from growing, so Spirulina can be grown contamination-free outdoors. Spirulina, however, has recently been changed to the product’s identifying name, whereas the algae’s taxonomic name has been changed to Arthrospira.

Earthrise Nutritionals began in the 1970s in Southeastern California as “Proteus Corporation.” After Earthrise was developed and they had partnered with a well-known Japanese company, they too became known as an international company focused on the innovation of using microalgae in natural foods, biochemical as well as pharmaceuticals. Today, this partnership has evolved into the biggest producer of Spirulina in the world, and has farms in California, China and Thailand to help cater to the worldwide health and dietary supplement market. These products are tediously examined and tested in order to make sure that they are free from environmental contaminants, additives, preservatives, stabilizers and irradiation.

Earthrise Nutritionals is an environmentally conscious company and uses a closed-loop water recycling system when they are harvesting the algae. They are also environmentally friendly by practicing ecological cultivation, meaning they farm without pesticides, soil erosion, herbicides or water contamination. In addition to this, Earthrise Naturals is cautious with natural resources, and have implemented several resource conservation practices, “using less land, water and energy than conventional crops.” They also bottle Spirulina with recyclable materials.Earthrise Naturals are proud of their harvesting process and are careful to preserve Spurlina’s nutritional properties by using efficient and state of the art drying technology.
