As a family, we started chewing this when one of the children started gettting a lot of cavities even with good brushing. I did internet research and read some people have more acid in mouth that leads to cavities and germs in mouth and that xylitol gum helps. This is expensive but I think it has saved us more dental bills. I(mom) even chew it and notice the plaque is gone. My dentist told us last check up to keep chewing this stuff!
