I love this stuff. I bought the 16 oz. size. I don't use it for cooking.... yet. I tried it once and WOW is it a different taste so, I'll have to figure out some recipies and try it again.
I purchased this oil to use as a hair oil. I am a Caucasian female with medium brown hair that has always been heathly. It's always been shiny, full of body, and easy to manage. I'm not sure what has changed....my diet (sure some), my stress level (tell me somebody's that hasn't increased with the economic climate), lack of suffient exercise (I know, I know it helps stress management too!). Back to my hair....I am soon to be 41 and am having hair issues. What hair issues? It's dull and has lost it's shine. It's breaking 1/2 way up the shaft all over my head. It seems to be falling out, but that could just be breakage.
I've tried everything. Salon treatments, protien treatments, TONS & TONS of expensive products. New, tried and true and still my beautiful hair was not what it use to be. I am, now trying coconut oil. I use it 2 ways. The first is a hot oil treatment twice a month. The second, which is actually harder to do, as a hair dressing. After freshly shampooed washed (and lightly conditioned) hair I was and towel it off, apply a miniscule amount to my hands, rub them back and forth , apply to the ends of my hair first and working up the shaft.
Sunday it's been 5 weeks. I've hot oiled my hair three times so far, and used the hair dressing every other time I wash my hair (about 12 times).
Results thus far are.....my hair is shiner than it was, but no where near 100% yet. It appears I have less breakage (I can tell when I'm in the shower & from my brush), it is softer and super easy to brush. I have long hair 3" past my shoulders so it will take some time for it to recover fully.

I love this stuff. I just made 2 loaves of bread today so that I could slather on a nice hot slice. Realizing that I could't eat 2 loaves my self I took a half a loaf to each neighbor with some coconut oil. I became very popular, they also thought the coconut oil added a wonderful flavor. Coconut oil for stirfry, omelets, yams with a sprinkle of natural sea salt. Can't wait to make the popcorn and fresh corn on the cob, I hear it is the best! Watch out summer, I'll be walking around with my Nutiva in one hand butter knife in the other. Just waiting to slather it on everything

Great product!!!! It's a very light oil, excellent for cooking almost anything. I found it makes great popcorn! The coconut flavor is not overbearing at all but very subtle. I might add it seems to help short memory recall, at least for me. I would recommend any one to try this product.

I wasn't sure about cooking with this product due to the fact I am not a coconut eater. But I made shrimp with the oil and it turned out great without a strong coconut taste. Can't wait to try it with other receipes.

Very nice mild coconut scent and taste. Great on toast! I use this oil for pan frying because it can take such high heat. If you need a butter substitute and can't stand margarine try out the coconut oil.
